Zakhar Sherman – Metaphorical Realism

Calling all art lovers! One of the founders of the artistic style metaphorical realism, Zakhar Sherman, will open his solo exhibition at Improve Canada on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6PM – 10PM. . Zakhar’s work can be found in many museums across Europe, including The Ludwig Museum in Cologne, the Dresden City Museum in Germany and the National Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.

 

 

Metaphorical realism first arose in the 1980s in the Soviet Union. It developed as an independent artistic trend before growing in prominence. The exhibition will be a celebration of Zakhar’s work with metaphorical realism from the past 30 years. The exhibition will be on display in Improve Canada until Friday, December 8, 2017. While you're at the exhibit taking in Zakhar's work, take some time to visit our wonderful art showrooms in Improve: Gallery Hi Art (unit 190), Gallery M2 (unit 153), Igor Munk Gallery (unit 236), and Indulgences Art Gallery (units 322/353).
