Your Guide to Making the Most of Your Time at Improve Canada

So you’re thinking about renovating your home, and it is already beginning to look like a daunting task. The kitchen needs to be updated, the bathroom needs a fresh layout and the main hallway needs a complete makeover.

For the sake of time and convenience, you’ve decided to visit Improve Canada for some design inspiration and to find everything you need in one convenient location. With over 350 showrooms dedicated to all things home improvement, it seems like the best place to start; but with over 350 showrooms, it can be difficult to know where to start.

That’s why we put together this helpful guide for how to make the most of your time at Improve Canada.

First things first: Go to the website

Before visiting Improve Canada, it is a good idea to first explore our website to get a good sense of the layout and to scope out showrooms that appeal to you. At the top of the homepage, you’ll find a tab called ‘Directory’. Once you click on this, you’ll be taken to a page that sorts all of our vendors into various home improvement categories. From here, you’ll be able to refine your search so that you can discover all of the showrooms related to kitchens, furniture, windows and doors, wall coverings, or décor to name a few.

With your search narrowed down from over 350 to a more manageable number, you can learn more about a vendor in the home improvement category most relevant to you by visiting the vendor's page on the website. Once you are on the vendor’s page, you can learn more about the company, see images of their past work, get their contact information, and check out their website and social media channels. If you like what you see, you can even book an appointment with the vendor from their page.

If you see some showrooms that you like but you want to visit them before committing to anything, you can pull up the interactive map from the vendor’s page to find their location in Improve. With their unit number(s), and location in hand, it will be easy for you to find them once you’re at Improve. It will also help to take note of the street names because this will make navigating Improve very easy. You’ll notice in the image below, that by hovering over this vendor’s location, you’ll discover that they are located at unit number 110 on fourth street.

Visiting Improve

When you get to Improve, you’re going to notice that there are many entrances. Don’t worry too much about where you enter Improve from because you will find an interactive map at every entrance, and these maps will display your location in Improve.

You’ll find billboards like the one in the above image throughout the mall, either in the middle of a main hallway or hanging on a wall near an entrance. The maps on these billboards have a touch screen, which makes it easy for you to find the showrooms you came to visit and to discover more showrooms. The top screen displays images for various events taking place at Improve, the bottom screen shows the map of Improve and a directory that you can use to browse showrooms.

If you came to Improve with a list of showrooms that you want to visit, all you have to do is go up to one of these maps, find the unit number, and tap it. Once you tap the unit number, the map will display the easiest route for you to take to get to the showroom.

If you want to find more showrooms, you can use the bottom screen on one of these billboards to browse various home improvement categories. You can also search the vendors by their store name to find their unit number.

Once you have a destination, you’re going to want to take notice of the street signs in Improve. The easiest way to find a unit is to find out what street or avenue it is on. Improve is divided into 9 streets that run from the north side of the building to the south side, and 4 avenues that run from the east side of the building to the west side. Street signs are located throughout Improve to help you find your way to a showroom. You’ll notice that they are hanging from the ceiling along 2nd and 3rd avenue.

With the help of this guide, your time at Improve Canada will be well spent finding design inspiration and meeting with vendors that will help you create your dream home. We'll see you at Improve.
